Twas The Week Before Christmas

Twas the week before Christmas, and all through the house,
not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The spiders were gone, rodents found nowhere,
Surely a sign that Eric and Roman from Madsen Pest Management were here!

As Christmas grew closer the children were nestled all snug in their beds,
Not a single bed-bug dancing on their heads.
With Mom cleaning the pantry and Dad checking traps,
Our brains had just settled for a long winter’s nap.

When out on the roof, squirrels made such a clatter,
We called Wendy who sent Shawn, Christina and Chaz to attend to this matter.
And back to our house, MPM flew like a dash,
Then they arrived and said, “We also took care of your bats.”

The moon on the breast of the new fallen snow,
Shined light on the occasional invaders below.
When, what to my wandering eyes should appear,
8 tiny boxelders – In the wintertime? Here?

These little bugs were so lively and quick,
We knew this was another job for MPM, not Saint Nick.
More rapid than eagles, then all the sudden, gone,
Our entire family once again thanked Chaz, Christina, and Shawn.

“No mice, no rats!
No spiders, no bats!
No bed-bugs or mosquitos!
No Fleas or flies, not even beetles!
No insects, no ants!
No squirrels or hornets!
No wasps, no ticks!
No pantry pests or invaders, not one bit!”

MPM waved goodbye, and got in their trucks,
and wished our whole family Merry Christmas and best of luck.
And on to the next home, they traveled with might,
As they exclaimed, “Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!”
